Quality begins In House with my custom hand made canvas frames.
Frames begin with select pine stock measuring .75 inches thick
by 1.5 inches.
Pine stock being cut on 45 degree angle to length.
All mitered angles sanded for perfect frame fit.
Corners drilled for bamboo dowel pinning.
Canvas frame set in wooden holding jig set to final size.
Canvas frame in wooden jig squared up then clamped to secure
Bamboo dowel pin cut to length at 3"
All corners glued and bamboo doweled for extra strength.
All canvas frames are masonite backed now, some of my first paintings
are not masonite backed.
All frames are hand stretched and stapled for maximum quality.
Just another view of stapling after canvas has been trimmed.
Each canvas is triple primed with Gesso and sanded between each coat.
When a painting is completed, a Certificate of Authenticity is applied to
back of painting.
